The story of Addis Abeba dresses has started with Agata`s, KOKOworld founder, trip to Gambia. Inspired with batiks - colorful tie die or wax colored fabrics she had packed few meters of them into her backpack, brought to Poland and this is how the first KOKOworld batik dresses were made. We named them after Ethiopian capital - Addis Abbeba, as this is how commonly the batik fabrics are called in West Africa.
But it`s not only African fabrics that make the dresses so special! They are made in tiny, family-run tailor workshop in a small Polish town. And it takes more than 2 hours to cut and adjust the pattern of one dress!
